Saghar Mehmandoust
Creative Technologist | Software Engineer
About
I started out solving other people’s technical debt and ended up managing a team through the full lifecycle of shipping software architecture, mentoring engineers into their own leadership.
Nine years in, I know how to hold a system together and how to hold a team together, which turn out to be the same skill wearing different clothes.
But somewhere around year eight, I got curious about a different kind of problem: not “How do we ship this reliably” but “How do we make this feel like something.”
So I stepped back toward the keyboard — Python, machine learning, Three.js and WebGL — and started treating interfaces as things you can compose, not just assemble.
I still think in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. I still care about the boring, essential things — performance, accessibility, code that survives contact with production. But I’m building toward the place where engineering discipline meets generative interfaces and AI-native design, because that’s where the interesting work is going to happen next.

Beyond What Seen
Photography is where I slow down, pay attention, and explore the details that often go unnoticed. I’m drawn to honest moments, thoughtful compositions, light, and the little visual stories hidden in everyday life.
This collection reflects the way I see the world through my lens, a mix of people, places, textures, and fleeting moments that catch my eye.
If you’re curious to see more of my visual style, you can explore at BEYONDWHATSEEN.
